Dr. Lohitha graduated from Bangalore Vet College with a Bachelors in Veterinary Science in 2000 and a Masters in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology in 2003.  Concurrently while completing the Masters program, he served as Night and Emergency Clinic Vet at CUPA (Compassion Unlimited Plus Action).

Dr. Lohitha has been practicing Veterinary Medicine since 2000.  He has been a Senior Surgeon at CUPA since 2003 and has performed more than 20,000 surgeries on dogs, cats, and a variety of exotic species (rabbits, monkeys, guinea pigs, birds, snakes).  He has undergone extensive surgical training in Singapore, Philippines, Thailandm and Sri Lanka.  In September 2007, Dr. Lohitha completed one month of Internship in Small Animal Orthopedics and Trauma care and Small Animal Ophthalmology at a small animal specialty clinic in France.
